Trying to find a length of tree trunk in one piece over 3.5m long was a challenge I stepped up to in Dubai. Having exhausted the Irish environment trying to explain that I wanted wood that looked for all intents and purposes still like a tree was unsuccessful and I drew smirky laughter or annoyance that I was pulling someones leg.
But I didi indeed find the wood i was looking for. This gorgeous acacia tree had been growing quite happily in Malaysia until it was harvested by a company that grows to give back and reduce their carbon footprint. I wonder when it sprouted from a tiny Acacia seed did it know that it would be one of the busiest trees on earth. Bar none
